I just had a birthday. It was a wonderful birthday! I had a whole weekend worth of love, company, sweets, and gifts. Awesome, awesome gifts. For example, my friend is the most talented knitter I have ever known. She always makes the most beautiful gifts and this year, she knit me a sweet pouch to go with my knitting stuff with beautiful little leaf shaped knitting markers. Gorgeous! But wait! She also knitted me a beaded wire bracelet. She knits in wire! Amazing. My sweetheart took me to Keepsake Quilting in NH for a daytime road trip!
It was a beautiful day and such a nice drive! It was a joy to spend with my love and my daughter. Bought two new patterns (because it was my birthday and I could!), some fat quarters, and some other trinkety knick knacks. There was so much fabric! My love knows me well. (Admittedly, the two patterns I bought are both for him.) I also got to go to their knitting store PatternWorks. It was a lovely selection of yarn and pattens. A truly fine birthday indeed. I don’t know who is in the New England area, but if you are a quilter in New England, Keepsake should be on your list. If you are not much of a distance person, they have a beautiful catalog. A happy day for this happy berry!
